I’d like to introduce myself, Megan (pronounced Mee-gan) Cummings, Program Director for AYC! 😀
I feel it’s important that I share a little about myself being that I am asking you to trust me with your teens.
My husband (Tony) and I have been married for twenty six years and together raised our four children Taylor (24), Kelsie (23), Garrett (20), and Conner (18). My decisions and approaches are made through my mom lens -💖 I believe in family first, always.
I currently work full time during the day for the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Tribal Government, in the Human Resources Department💜Previously, I had worked in the Aitkin community for eight years as the Executive Director at HOPE a domestic violence non-profit.
Work history with teens:⬇️
💙Program Director at Cuyuna Range Youth Center - they still hold a place in my heart.
🥎Fastpitch softball coach in Pierz for Community Ed (8 yrs), Varsity Pioneers Team (1 yr), Fan (Forever) for grades 7-12th.
🖤Morrison County, Public Health Educator ~ EPIC (Encouraging Positive Influence & Choices) student group @ Pierz Healy High. Grades 7-12, 250+ teens. Our focus was character building, strength finding, volunteerism & providing safe spaces for teens to have fun w/peers.

If you know me and are willing to share your experiences with future parents/guardians & teens ~ what they can expect or what your experience was, please comment below!! It’s helpful to hear first hand from others in their own words. 💕
I look forward to earning and building the trust of the Aitkin community to create a safe, inclusive and kind space for teens!
The community is so excited to have Megan as our Program Director!
